I
am actually here to work, but as the workshops are being sponsored by NASA, they treated us to a VIP tour of the Kennedy Space Centre. It was quite surreal. Our guide was one of the engineers who was part of the space shuttle team and he entertained us with lots of stories as well as technical information about the shuttle program. It is certainly an awe inspiring place - I would highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance.
Roddy kept pinching himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He has always had an interest in the space program, and it was a childhood dream of his to visit NASA one day.
It was a fantastic introduction to our workshop and now I need to get to work for the next 3 days. Meanwhile - while I'm hard at work.......Roddy and Bruce are off in Bruce's red convertible - hooning around Orlando - not sure what those two will get up to!

This huge cavernous building is the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) where they assemble the rockets. |
